UMFA Member Event: How Your Faculty Union Works

The University of Manitoba Faculty Association (UMFA) is holding an event to let you know how your union works, what it does for you, and how you can get involved. This event will be especially useful to new Members.

Two information sessions will be held, one online via Zoom and another in-person at the UMFA office.

In these 50 minute sessions, we’ll cover:

  • What unions are and what they do
  • How collective bargaining works and what it means for you
  • How UMFA works and its role at UM
  • Your rights as an UMFA member

There will also be time for you to ask questions.

Whether you’re new to the University of Manitoba, new to Canada, unfamiliar with unions and the collective bargaining process, or just want to know more about how UMFA works and what it does, this event is for you.
